My prints are abstract or semi-abstract interpretations of ideas or places. I hope that they are atmospheric and may resonate with the viewer’s own imagination. Many are heavily embossed for intriguing texture.

Most of my prints are collagraphs. The plates have varying levels and textures and give the opportunity for both relief and intaglio marks to be printed at the same time as well as numerous ways in which they can be inked for very different results. The plates do not last as long as etched steel or copper and, as a result, all my editions are small, variable (VE) and each print is unique.  

 

The 'what if' side of printmaking and the excitement of not quite knowing what will come off the press is risky but never boring.  

 

Unless otherwise stated, all prints are on Somerset 300gsm printmaking paper.
